Blood Moon

Blood Moon

The moon takes on a red color during Tuesday morning's total lunar eclipse as seen from Greybull, Wyoming. Also called the Blood Moon, this lunar eclipse marks the start of an eclipse tetrad — four back-to-back total lunar eclipses — that will happen over the next 18 months. The blue star Spica can been seen at lower right.
